An app to split household expenses, for two or more
With Mayora, everyone who shares a home sees the same numbers: each expense shows who paid and for what, fixed bills stay visible until they are paid, and nobody has to ask how much has already gone. It is free.

First, decide how to split
There is no right rule; there is the one both of you think is fair. The three most common:
- 50/50. Simple, and fair when both earn about the same.
- In proportion to what each earns. Whoever earns 60% of the total pays 60% of the home. The numbers are in 50/50 or proportional.
- One account for the shared costs. Each transfers their share and the household bills come out of it. It works well when the shared costs are most of the spending.
Then, see it all in one place
-
Every expense shows who paid and for what
Whoever pays, logs it. The others see it straight away, without waiting for the end of the month or a spreadsheet.

-
Fixed bills stay visible until they are paid
Rent, electricity, internet: each with its due day and a reminder before it. A bill only counts as spent once someone marks it paid.

-
The analysis shows where the money went
By category and by person. In a shared budget, the per-person view is usually the one that saves the most arguments.

What Mayora is not
It is not an app for settling up between friends, with who owes whom after a trip. Splitwise does that. Mayora is for people who share the month: the household budget, the fixed bills and what is still safe to spend. For the whole budget, step by step: a budget planner app for households.
Frequently asked questions
Does the app work out what each person owes the other?
No. Mayora shows who paid each expense and the month per person, but it does not settle debts. You agree the split between you; the app shows the numbers behind it.
Does it work for couples who keep separate accounts?
Yes. Each person logs what they pay from their own account, and the group sees the household total and each person's share, with no joint account needed.
Is it free?
Yes. No subscription, no in-app purchases and no advertising.
Does it work on Android?
The Android version is on its way. Until then, Mayora opens in your phone's browser, with the same account and the same data.
Start with the month you are in
One of you creates the group, invites the other, and each logs what they pay.
